Did you know today was one of the best days of my life? Truly. I can’t remember experiencing this amount of joy in a long time. Anyone who knows my story knows I never expected to feel joy at this capacity…let alone joy in any capacity. I spent the day celebrating. Laughing. Skipping. Yes—SKIPPING. I even went to my parent’s neighborhood, which borders hundreds of acres of woods. It’d previously been full of weeds along its meadows, but just today—literally today—it had been mowed, and I skipped and I frolicked and I laughed and I jumped and I yelled and did everything humanly possible that made me seem as if I should have been committed as opposed to accepted into bar-passage territory. But, boy, did I experience joy. Pure, unaltered joy. No amount of thanks can cover the gratitude for the people who made this joy possible. This joy that, seemingly was inexperiencable, but that nevertheless was the greatest triumph in my life thus far. A special thanks to the firm that has been everything I dreamed intelligence and kindness could morph into. You make me feel celebrated and welcomed and capable—feelings this world seldom gives. Today I will forever remember drinking, laughing…and skipping. xx
